NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGS (JUNE 2020)
If you would like to submit a comment concerning either of these public hearings or a general comment for the Board, please forward your comments to Town Hall in writing to the Town Clerk.  While you are welcome to address the Board during the public hearings and public comment portion of the meeting, comments can be submitted via email to christinacraft@townofwilliamston.com or drop a hardcopy by Town Hall located at 102 East Main Street, Williamston, NC and will be distributed to the Board.   

ADOPTION OF BUDGET

 The proposed budget for the Town of Williamston for fiscal year 2020-2021 has been filed with the Board of Commissioners.  A public hearing on the proposed budget will be held on the 2nd of June, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room at the Town Hall.  The proposed budget totals $11,272,008 for FY 2020-2021, beginning July 1, 2020.  It is available for public inspection in the office of the Town Clerk during regular business hours and on the Town’s website, www.townofwilliamston.com.

                                                      Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given by the Town of Williamston that a hearing will be held by the Town Board of Commissioners at its regular meeting on Tuesday, the 2nd  day of June, 2020, at the NC Telecenter, 415 East Blvd #130, Williamston, NC at 5:30 P.M., to consider the adoption of an ordinance pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 160A-439 authorizing the repair, closing, and demolition of nonresidential buildings or structures.  A copy of the proposed ordinance may be inspected by contacting the Town Clerk at the Town Hall during regular business hours and on the Town website, www.townofwilliamston.com.  The proposed ordinance addresses nonresidential buildings or structures that fail to meet minimum standards of maintenance, sanitation, and safety and addresses procedures for the repair or removal of buildings or structures which fail to meet such minimum standards.  Anyone is invited to attend and to be heard.
