|River Landing encompasses 6.8 acres along the Roanoke River between Moratoc Park and the NC Wildlife Resources Boat Landing. The first phase was completed in 2008, which included a boardwalk along the river and a restroom/shower facility. A camping platform for river paddlers was completed in 2010. The majority of the project was funded by the NC DOT Enhancement program and NC Wildlife Resources. A grant from the National Recreation and Trails program was also used.|
